Dr. Gene Wilder has been Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church since July, 2002. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Gene readily admits he’s a “people person,” and believes that effective ministry grows out of a sincere love for people expressed through everyday relationships.

Gene, and his wife Pat, have two adult children and three beautiful granddaughters. Gene’s hobbies include travel, golf, music, drama and hiking.
