Jan Patterson joined the staff as part-time ministry assistant in July of 2001, after retiring from teaching high school biology and chemistry for 20+ years.  She has an undergraduate degree from Furman University, teaching certification from Carson-Newman College, and graduate degrees from University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Lincoln Memorial University.  Her husband, Truett, retired after 38 years teaching chemistry at Carson-Newman College.  Her responsibilities in the office include general secretarial duties, ordering literature, and doing whatever is required to "get the work done."  Her personal interests include reading, traveling, knitting, sewing, and crossword puzzles.  She and Truett are the parents of two daughters, Anita and Leigh.
