Children's Day Out


Our Mission 

The Children’s Day Out (CDO) program at First Baptist Church Jefferson City is committed to providing a safe and loving Christian environment in which young children can learn and grow!

Our Philosophy 

At Children’s Day Out, we watch the children in our care and respond to their needs. We fill their days with laughter, smiles, and fun. We treat the children in our care with dignity and respect. We work diligently to incorporate Christian values in all aspects of the day. Above all, we love the children in our care with the unconditional love that Christ so willingly offers us allowing their innocence and purity to guide us throughout the day.

Our Classes 

We accept children ranging in age from six weeks old to five years old. 

Classes are available for Infants, Toddlers, Younger Preschoolers, Older Preschoolers and Pre-Kindergartners. Our classrooms are staffed with two teachers who work together to create a wide variety of activities including Biblical Teachings, Art, Music, Games, Stories, Outdoor Play and a multitude of special activities. Our experienced staff strives to create a positive atmosphere filled with love and encouragement in which the children have an opportunity to grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually.


9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Tuesdays and Thursdays 

August through May - CDO follows the Jefferson County School Schedule

(Enrollment is only available for both days) 

Monthly Tuition 

Tuition for the 2019-2020 school year will be $1,400 and will be divided equally among a ten month period (August – May). Tuition for each additional child per family will be $1,000 per year divided into $100 each month.

Special Activities 

Throughout the year, we plan many special activities for the children. We have a pajama and teddy bear day in the fall. We even eat green eggs and ham to honor Dr. Seuss’s birthday! We celebrate Thanksgiving with a school-wide lunch for our families, and a few special guests visit us at CDO each year such as the Knoxville Zoomobile and local firefighters.


Registration takes place throughout the year. In order to secure a spot at Children’s Day Out, please return a completed application along with the $50 per child registration fee made payable to First Baptist Church Jefferson City. The director will notify you as soon as possible upon your acceptance to the program. We look forward to hearing from you!
