Deacon Family Ministry

Some forty men and women serve as deacons at First Baptist Church.  Each deacon has a family list of approximately eight church families that they minister to in good times and hard times, times of celebration and times of sadness.  September is deacon nominating time  at FBC when one-third of the deacons come up for re-election.  To serve as a deacon, candidates may be male or female, must be at least 21 years of age and a member of the church for at least one year.  Deacons serve three-year terms.
