Minister of Senior Adults: Jim Dampier

Jim Dampier has served as Minister of Senior Adults at First Baptist Church since January, 1998. He is a graduate of Carson-Newman College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Jim grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He has served as pastor of churches in Indiana and East Tennessee.

Jim is married to the former Kathy Fricke of New Orleans and has two sons, one daughter, three grandchildren and three great grand children. Jim worked bi-vocationally in advertising and marketing with 18 years experience in radio, print media, and television.

Jim's hobbies include fly fishing, camping, genealogy, music and watching SEC and NFL football. He is also trombonist in the FBC Instrumental Ensemble and a member of the Walter's State Community Band in Morristown, Tennessee.
