Youth Ministry PDF Print E-mail

As youth seek to find and develop their identity in a world of constant change and confusion, First Baptist provides a hospitable and challenging space where youth can discover the abundant life of Jesus Christ and become more faithful followers of Him. Pizza may become stale, and “Kum Ba Yah” may quickly bore, but a life following Jesus will never grow old. We welcome 7th – 12th graders to join us during our scheduled activities. We look forward to meeting and ministering with you soon.

In addition to Sunday School and a host of other activities, youth from the entire community come to participate in a Wednesday program named "Xchange.” Xchange is a weekly meeting for youth (7th-12th grade) who wish to be transformed into mature disciples of Jesus Christ through eXchanges with God and other friends. Xchange participants believe that genuine and positive transformation comes through the unique life-defining figure of Jesus Christ.

Xchange meets Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 pm in the youth room 214.

High School Bible Study is at 7:00 am on Monday mornings.  High school girls meet at McDonalds on Hwy. 92 and high school guys meet at Hardee's on Hwy. 92.

Along with our other youth ministries, First Baptist Church offers Celebration Singers, a very active combined choir for youth boys and girls and Judson Ringers, a youth handbell choir made up of 7th - 12th graders.

We also offer 1Step, a blog to better assist our parents of teenagers in this unique stage of life that will feature calendar updates, info on parenting teens, a chance to engage with other parents, and much, much more.
