Missions is an important part of our church life. We believe that God called us to be witnesses at home and abroad, sharing God’s love in the world. We are involved in ministering locally through Appalachian Outreach and Habitat for Humanity. Our members participate in mission trips overseas to such places as Zimbabwe, Croatia, Morocco, Bulgaria, Kosovo and India.

Members have the opportunity to be involved in missions through ongoing organizations meeting at the church and in the community. Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, and Acteens help our children learn about and participate in missions.

Women have several options for missions involvement through our Global Women organization. Options include the Women’s Ministry Group, which ministers through activities such as visiting the mentally handicapped, making lunch bags for our benevolence ministry, assembling sewing kits for people in Honduras and volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity thrift store. The Current Missions Group meets monthly to study a wide variety of mission efforts around the globe, hosting guest speakers personally involved in local and international missions. The Bible Study Group and the Prayer Group also offer monthly meetings to involve the women of our church.
