At First Baptist Church, we strive to show God's love to others in many ways. One of these ways is by helping people. This page is updated when we receive new requests from various sources that are needing some volunteer help. We hope that this will help you to find a place to serve those in need.
Invitation to Volunteer The Jefferson Rural Clinic invites you to become a front desk volunteer. Time involved is your choice: anywhere from two half days a month up to a half-day or two a week. Skills needed include: Ability to operate a very simple computerized Appointment Scheduling program; answering phone; having a listening ear; filing of patient charts, and communicating w/ patients. Training provided. Please call the clinic 471-5525 to sign up.
Opportunity to lend a helping hand…….. I am looking for a person who would be interested in sitting with an elderly man for a few hours once a week to allow his care giver time to run errands (go to the store, etc.) The couple lives here in Jefferson City. If you are interested in helping, please contact Jean Love (865-679-6330) for more information.
Family in Need If you have a working washer and dryer that you would be willing to donate or sell at a low price to a fellow church member, please contact Twila Greene (865-475-1257).
Butter Tubs Needed We need some empty, cleaned out butter tubs to be used to hold bulletin board borders. If you have one that you are not using, please consider bringing it by the Church Office to Ronda to help keep our borders looking nice so we don't have to replace them as often. |
