Ellen Di Giosia
Ellen grew up in several states, but considers Texas her heart's home. She is a graduate of Mississippi College and George W. Truett Theological Seminary. In 2017, she was called to pastor FBC Jeff following nine years of service at Woodland Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, where she completed her time as Associate Pastor of Faith Formation. She has also served churches in Valley Mills and San Marcos, Texas.
Ellen was the founding board chair of Texas Baptist Women in Ministry and has been a worship leader, panelist, and workshop speaker for Baptist Women in Ministry gatherings at the national level. In 2017, she shared an Associated Church Press Award of Excellence for her writing in the Baptist Standard.
Ellen is married to Tony, and has two kids, Gemma and Luca. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, and singing.
INTERIM YOUTH and CoLLEGE MINISTER
Chad Hartsock is serving as our Interim Youth and College Minister. He comes to this position with many years experience working with teens and college students. Chad formally served as the Associate Professor of Religion at Carson-Newman University. Chad is married to Ami Hartsock, and shares parental responsibilities for Kaylin. We are thrilled to have Chad serving alongside our ministers.
Administrative Pastor and Minister to Senior Adults
Bill Rosser, Administrative Pastor and Minister to Senior Adults, grew up in Knoxville and received degrees from UT, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Southern Seminary. Much of his pastoral ministry was spent in Indiana, where he was pastor and interim pastor of several churches. For ten years he was also chaplain at the Madison State Hospital in Madison, IN.
Bill is married to Linda and they have three children and nine grandchildren.

Karen Wilson was born in Louisville, KY, and graduated from Kentucky Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She married Jim Wilson in 1974 and they have two children, Elizabeth Jones (Spencer) of Jefferson City, TN, and Amanda Taylor (Jason) of Clinton, TN. They have two grandsons, Eli and Noah.
Karen joined the First Baptist Church staff as an administrative assistant on October 1, 1987. Karen enters contributions into the computer, handles memorial gifts, coordinates the Deacon Family Ministry Program, prepares TableTalk, the Sunday bulletin, and the weekly prayer list, orders supplies, and answers the phone and door.
When not at work, she enjoys reading, watching NCIS, eating out, and playing with her grandsons.
Lea Ann Brummett
Lea Ann Brummett began her new job as ministry assistant on Friday, September 13, 2013 and is happy to report that beginning work on Friday, the 13th has not caused her any harm, thus far. She came to FBC from having worked for the Jefferson County School System as both substitute teacher and secretary.
She was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri. Lea Ann is a University of Louisville graduate, who completed her bachelor degree while her husband, Ross, completed his Ph.D at Southern Seminary. Ross accepted a teaching position in the Religion Department at Carson Newman and they moved to Jefferson City in August, 1987. They have parented two children, Molly and Will, and enjoy walking beside them on their journey of adulthood. The Brummett family calls Jefferson City and First Baptist Church "home."
Lea Ann's part-time ministry position allows her the opportunities to greet and assist visitors and members in the office and by phone, coordinate Tuesday's Neighbors, update the church's website, order literature for Sunday Bible Study, and Wednesday night activities, keep Bible Study data current and prepare monthly Bible Study reports, assist with worship responsibilities, extended session, and anything else that might need doing....and hopefully, with a smile.
Beth Ann Smith
Children's Day Out Director
Beth Ann grew up primarily in South Mississippi and graduated from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education. Her parents had moved to Jefferson County the year before, and she and her husband Matt followed in the summer of 2004 so that Matt could attend graduate school at the University of TN. After working for several years, Beth Ann became a stay at home mother, and her children began attending Children’s Day Out. When the position opened up for the CDO Director in the fall 2011, she jumped at the opportunity to work with children again. Now with a total of 5 young children of her own, she is thrilled to be a part of providing child care for local families in a loving, Christian environment.
Jack Prather joined our staff as one of our facility caretakers in September 2015. Jack was born in Ashland, Kentucky but grew up in Northern Virginia, near Washington, D.C. Jack worked in the auto industry for forty years and was a mechanic for 27 years. He then worked in the Parts Department of a BMW Dealer for 13 years and for the last ten years, managed an Auto Body Parts Department. He and his wife Anna, have two sons and five grandchildren. We are thankful to have both Jack and Anna on our staff.
