Welcome to First Baptist Church! We are so excited you would like to join us for worship. Visiting a new church can be challenging and difficult so we would like to make your visit as welcoming as possible. Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. We look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
What can I expect?
First and foremost, we think you’ll find a warm, friendly and welcoming group. We have a traditional style worship service that lasts about 1 hour.
WHERE DO I PARK?
1. There are several designated visitor spots close to the front entrance of the sanctuary.
2. Handicapped parking and a covered entrance with an elevator.
3. Closest to the children’s entrance
WHAT DO I WEAR?
WHAT ABOUT CHILDREN?
We are excited to welcome your children and want to create a safe and family-friendly worship experience.
Babies, preschoolers, and kindergarteners are invited to attend Sunday School during worship. They can be dropped off in Room 119 beginning at 10:30 am.
First through fifth graders also attend Sunday School during worship, but begin the morning in the sanctuary. They are invited to meet their Sunday School leaders at the front of the sanctuary at a time designated in the bulletin.
If you would prefer to keep your child with you during worship, a Baby Crying area is located at the top of the stairs at the back of the sanctuary on the organ side.
For your childs safety and your peace of mind, we want you to know that:
- The dedicated preschool wing is locked during the service.
- At least two adults are present at all times.
- Background checks are completed on any adult working with children.
- Each room is equipped with age-appropriate toys.
