SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern the First Baptist Church Jefferson City Text Updates program operated by First Baptist Church Jefferson City (“FBC,” “the church,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

Program Description

The text-message program provides church announcements, ministry updates, volunteer and participant communications, schedules, event reminders, weather-related changes, pastoral or congregational notices, and other information related to the ministries and activities of First Baptist Church Jefferson City.

Messages may be sent to the mobile number you voluntarily provide when enrolling.

Consent and Enrollment

You may enroll through the church’s public text-updates form or another documented consent process provided by the church.

By enrolling, you expressly consent to receive recurring text messages from First Baptist Church Jefferson City at the mobile number you provide. Consent is optional and is not a condition of participating in church activities, ministries, worship services, or events.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are authorized to enroll that number.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the ministries, groups, activities, and notifications relevant to you. Additional messages may be sent for schedule changes, cancellations, emergencies, or other time-sensitive church notices.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to the terms of your mobile service plan. FBC does not charge a separate fee for participating in the text-message program.

How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe.

You may also contact the church office and request removal from the text-message program.

After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming that your request has been processed. No additional program messages will be sent unless you provide consent again.

Supported Carriers and Delivery

Message delivery is subject to the availability and operation of participating wireless carriers and networks. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

FBC cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or received within a particular period.

Privacy

Information collected through the text-message program is governed by our Text Messaging Privacy Policy.

Mobile information and text-message consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Changes to the Program or Terms

FBC may modify or discontinue the text-message program or update these terms when reasonably necessary. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, subject to applicable law. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
